Glasses-Free 3D, without dead zones

Display maker AU Optronics aims to eliminate the main objection to 3DTV: the glasses.

Deadzones, in a 3D display that requires no glasses, are the angles from where the viewer cannot see anything clearly. Most of these displays need the eyeballs to be right at the center. However, this new 3D display from AUO has no such requirements and has a wide viewing angle.

Screen sizes currently max out at 15.6 inches, though larger models are expected in the near future. Production begins Q3 '11.
