3D Manifesto explores the exciting world of Stereo-3D photography, as seen through the magical wonder tech of red/cyan 3D glasses. It's mostly a photo gallery, partly a blog, and very rarely updated.

In my non-photo-hobby time I develop video games and VR experiences, independently and for clients.

'3D Photos' App for iPad / iPhone

Looking for a 3D window into Italy's great cities? '3D Photos' is a free anaglyph photo app from Black Frog Industries (known to Manifesto readers as the DeLorean photographer from this post).

Kudos to Black Frog for making the app Universal, meaning it runs natively on the iPhone, iPad and iPhone 4 with retina display. Window placement and color balance appear to be optimized for minimal ghosting, and the images are crisp and clear.

Images from Florence are available for free, with additional locations are available as in-app purchases.

Download it from the iTunes App Store.

The (Original) Stereo 3D Channel on Vimeo

In addition to the previously mentioned Stereoscopic 3D Channel on Vimeo, I was recently made aware of another 3D video mecca: Plasticity director Ryan Suits' Stereo 3D Channel, the first 3D channel on Vimeo and a excellent place to find stereoscopic vids of all types.

From the description:

The Stereo 3D Channel is a home for ALL stereoscopic videos on Vimeo: tests & completed films & tutorials, animation & live action, anaglyph & crossview & pulfrich & chromadepth, and everything in between.

Amazing to see how many people are experimenting with 3D.

Take me there!
